Parish Life & Outreach
How we live our lives as Christians, and as members of the community, is our primary witness to the reality of God and the work of Christ. Our desire is to experience Christianity in a holistic way – one that isn’t forced, but develops naturally. That’s why we shape our ministries to be functional, and why they originate with and are led by the congregation. Doing this allows people to determine their gifts and how they can actively use them to serve the church. It also makes relationships, and the sense of community, the main priority – ensuring that people live out their lives together, and not as isolated individuals. Similarly, our small group activities balance the requirement for study and growth, along with meeting people’s need for personal connection.
We are actively involved in supporting the work of Blythswood Care. Towards Christmas-time the children and other groups help to gather items suitable for making up shoe boxes which are then transported to Eastern Europe or India/Pakistan for distribution to needy families.
